W omen Changed America and Won the Vote (December 8, 2020 – July 18, 2021) in the Lower Rotunda features photographs that tell the story of the Progressive Era in the early 20th century when local women joined the reform movement.  They opened the Redwood City’s Woman’s Club in 1909 and helped win the right to vote in California in 1911 and the right to vote across America in 1920.  One hundred years later, women are still affecting change in America.

Our thanks to the Redwood City’s Woman’s Club and the Peninsula Hills Women’s Club for their assistance with this exhibit.
