Getting from Here to There
What was it like to travel a long time ago?
Students will explore the changes in transportation as they experience a bumpy road riding in a the stagecoach, listen to a railroad story and “drive” a streetcar in the Journey to Work exhibit. Then, they will see ships that have sailed the San Francisco Bay in the Ships of the World exhibit.
There are 2 versions of the Getting from Here to There program.
Regular Program: Students explore both exhibits. The program is 1 ½ hours.
Extended Program: Activities of the Regular Program plus students make their own model ship. The program is 2 hours. If you request a Double Program (2 classes at the same time), you will be participating in the Extended Program. Additional fee applies.
