Anna Eshoo

The San Mateo County Historical Association is pleased to announce that The Honorable Anna Eshoo will be its 2025 San Mateo County History Maker. Ms. Eshoo served as a member of the U.S. Congress representing southern San Mateo County and northern Santa Clara County (the Silicon Valley) for 32 years, passing 68 pieces of legislature signed into law by five Presidents.

We wish to honor the Congresswoman because of her skillful work on healthcare, technology and environmental policy, which benefited from her ability to build bipartisan consensus. She displayed her leadership qualities as a member of the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors for ten years before running for Congress.

The San Mateo County History Makers Dinner will take place at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Foster City on Thursday, September 25. The evening will begin at 6:00 p.m. with a hosted cocktail reception, followed by dinner, a brief live auction, and a special film created by the Historical Association describing the life achievements of Congresswoman Eshoo.
