San Mateo County History Maker Recipients

Every year, the San Mateo County Historical Association hosts the San Mateo County History Makers Dinner that highlights an individual and/or family of San Mateo County who has made significant contributions to California history and beyond.

2016 The Wisnom Family

Since 1873, the Wisnom Family has played a crucial role in the creation of the mid-Peninsula’s communities with ramifications that have had influence far past the borders of San Mateo County.
