Celebrate San Mateo County during our annual festival on September 14. Stroll down History Lane, make crafts from yesteryear and listen in to Gossip Behind the Gates .

Family Fun
Rotunda from 12 – 4 p.m.
Making Bear FlagsMake your own flags, rag dolls, train models, masks, stained glass "windows," and more to take home.  Explore the museum and try our scavenger hunt.  Complete the museum hunt for a chance to win movie tickets.

Gossip Behind the Gates
Courtroom A at 12:30 p.m. and 3 p.m.
Come and listen as Victorian millionaires talk aboutLady at Victorian Party their neighbors. Set in the 1890s, the audience eavesdrop as members of the high society discuss how they got their money, how to marry off their children and how to make the estate of one's dreams. Set in the garden of San Mateo hostess, Mrs. Antoine Borel, we learn some remarkable historical "facts" during the banter.

 

History Lane

Stroll History Lane and discover the latest news on the past.  Talk to history buffs representing historic organizations throughout the county and learn about all their upcoming activities.
